National Office

KAIH national Office is located in Umoja Appartments off Moi drive. In Mutindwa flats there are two offices A5 and A11.KAIH national Office was established  and registered under the NGO Coordination Act of 1990.KAIH National is the Headquarters of all KAIH branches.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES 2010- 2014

  • To enhance governance through review of KAIH structure, policies, systems and values by 2014.

  • To economically empower PWIDs and their families through sustainable livelihood programs and access to credit by December 2014.

  • To strengthen and sustain KAIH through a diversified network of local,regional and global partnerships by December 2014.

  • To promote the social and polictical partcipation of PWIDs and their families through Information, Education and Technology by December 2014.

  • To promote the health rights of PWIDs and their families by December 2014

  • To enhance KAIHs image and resource base through publicity and fundraising strategies by December 2014.

CHALLENGES

  • Overwhelming requests from the regions that we are not there such as Machakos, Turkana and Mombasa.
  • Funding and sustainability of projects

  • Poverty and High levels of illeteracy among parents and persons with intellectual disabilities
